A large boa constrictor was spotted slithering around Chiswick on Sunday afternoon.
The RSPCA was contacted after someone spotted a ‘stray snake’ hanging out by the Thames. One of the charity’s animal collection officers, Jade Guthrie, was sent out to Chiswick to collect the snake – which is about 5ft long. She said that it was the largest boa constrictor she has ever had to rescue.
A spokesperson for the RPSCA told The Chiswick Calendar “the snake, which appears to be relatively healthy, was taken in by the charity for care. It’s believed the snake was abandoned locally”.
