Abundance London awards volunteer for outstanding work

Eco-charity Abundance London has nominated its lead picking co-ordinator, Laurence Game, as its outstanding volunteer for 2026
The announcement comes as the group gears up for the annual fruit glut harvesting season, which is set to start in just a few weeks. Volunteers will soon be out across W4 collecting surplus garden fruit to redistribute to local schools and charities.
The charity currently operates with 158 gardening volunteers and 98 fruit picking volunteers, while maintaining nearly 40 pocket gardens across Chiswick.
Local residents who have fruit trees with a surplus harvest, or anyone looking to join the volunteer network ahead of the busy summer season, are encouraged to get in touch with the team – abundancelondon.com
