Ballet4Life Beginner Ballet course

A new course for adults of any age (over 16), shape, or skill level

Chiswick- based, award winning, Ballet4life just celebrated their 18th Birthday last month. They were also in the first batch of local businesses to join our Club Card scheme when it launched in 2015.

They have been keeping everyone on their toes, so to speak, the last 18 years and also during Lockdown with their friendly and professional approach to learning dance and attending regular dance classes for fun and for fitness.

One core thing they keep providing, is teaching the basics of classical Ballet technique to complete beginners of any age (over 16), shape, or skill level. There is a new Beginner Ballet class at ArtsEd on Saturday afternoons, for which there are still places.

Ballet4life offers enjoyable short Beginner Ballet Courses all year long and you can try one and repeat it or also move up to more challenging open classes. Two highly qualified industry professionals lead this course and can guide you and assist with any queries or concerns. There is also one free make-up session included on each course, should you have to miss one due to work, health, transport issues, etc.

Hundreds of course attendees over the last years have carried on training and dancing with Ballet4life. Should you get the dance bug and wish to progress, Ballet4life also offers classes in all levels from Complete Beginners up to Int/Adv/Pro.

They also offer other dance classes such as Classical Ballet Repertory, Contemporary Dance, Character Dance, and Dance-based workshops. In the past they have offered Ballroom and Latin Dance, Barre Work-Out, Pilates for Dancers, Yoga for Dancers, Zumba Gold, Jazz and Lyrical Jazz Dance, Choreographic Workshops, and Master Classes.

What Ballet training can target/can assist with

Ballet can strengthen your core, improve flexibility, muscle tone, posture, alignment, balance, co-ordination, and overall strength. It also is brilliant for mental acuity as the sequences have to be learned and memorised. The feel-good factor plays a huge part as there is a sense of enjoyment, inspirational music throughout, and the much-loved endorphins are produced.
