Car stolen in the middle of a house move

A car was stolen, loaded with boxes, from Lonsdale Road in Chiswick over the Bank Holiday weekend. Jane Eggleton and her husband Dan were in the middle of moving house when the thieves struck between 6.00 pm on 30 August and 07.30 am on 31st.

The keyless car was alarmed, immobilised and locked when it was stolen, “so these thieves knew what they were doing” says Jane.

The family car, pictured above, is quite distinctive – a Santorini black Range Rover Evoque HSE DYN TD (registration AU18 OVK) with black trim and black alloys and a cream leather interior. It would have been full of boxes at the time it was stolen.

“We had just lost two family members and were in the middle of a house move when the vehicle was stolen and the car was full of boxes including valuable and irreplaceable sentimental possessions from lost loved ones. To say we are gutted is an understatement” says Jane.

“If anyone has any information, we would really appreciate hearing from you”.

“We believe a white van seen driving up and down the Bath Road that day (on the wrong side of the road) might have been scanning cars and could be connected and that the criminals might be local – so please be vigilant.

“If anyone has any evidence that could help us retrieve our car or any of our lost belongings – we would be so appreciative. After two funerals, two house moves and now two major car incidents in just the last two months (after our last car was written off in a serious road traffic accident) this now feels like it has been all a bit too much, to be honest. We would love to retrieve our personal family belongings.

“Any information would be wonderful. We are hoping the community might be able to help us where the policed have fallen short”.

Anyone with information should contact the police or answer Jane’s message on social media. The police incident number is: 0517875/21.
