Traffic, ULEZ and flood strategy on the agenda

The Chiswick Area Forum returns next week, on Tuesday 14 March.

Organised by Chiswick’s Conservative councillors, it is a chance to talk about issues in Chiswick which are decided or influenced by LB Hounslow.

February’s meeting was withdrawn, and the last meeting in November 2022 was fractious. Recent revelations such as LB Hounslow seeking a ULEZ exemption for their vehicle fleet, as well as Leader of Hounslow Council Shantanu Rajawat describing Chiswick as a “backwater”, are expected to be brought up.

The agenda includes an update from the local police, foster care in Hounslow, and then the open forum, which will cover traffic & transport, ULEZ and flood strategy.

There will be an informal meet beforehand starting at 6.30pm, with the meeting formally beginning at 7.30pm. The informal start of the meeting will include marketplace style stalls, where residents can speak with Council officers about individual issues, meet and speak to their specific ward councillors and hear about local community groups and initiatives.

Residents are asked to submit any questions/ issues to the open forum in writing by 4.00pm on the Friday before the meeting.  The earlier the council receive your submission, the greater the chance of a response being available in time for the meeting. Everyone is welcome to attend and come along to the forum and you don’t need to register, but spaces are limited so you can reserve your place by registering on Eventbrite:
