Chiswick Flower Market offers grants of up to £3,000 for local projects

Chiswick Flower Market is inviting applications for its community grants programme, with £30,000 available in awards of up to £3,000 per project

The grants are open to charities, community groups, schools, non-profits and small independent businesses running projects that support environmental sustainability, biodiversity or urban greening in the W4 area, or that promote the High Road and benefit the local community.

The programme launched last year and has so far distributed £12,500 across six local projects. Recipients included Cavendish Primary School, which used its grant to build a sensory garden area; Wild Chiswick, which funded wildflower planting to increase biodiversity; and W4 Youth, which expanded its programme of physical activity, arts and youth support sessions.

Grants also went to St Paul’s Church for improvements to its community garden, the Hogarth Estate Junior Youth Group for art materials and room hire, and Chiswick Horticultural and Allotments Society for greenhouse and equipment upgrades.
