Chiswick House & Gardens

Volunteer Chiswick: Chiswick House & Gardens

Chiswick House and Gardens has a variety of opportunities available for volunteers. They welcome people to help the gardening team, either with the main gardens, for example maintaining the Italian Garden, or with the Kitchen Garden, where volunteers grow vegetables for sale. There are opportunities to learn about classical horticulture; you can also support their Education Programme for local schools in the kitchen Garden, or the Chiswick House team too as a Guide or Room Explainer and Front of House assistant. You would be joining a team of around 150 experiences workers, helping to restore the gardens back to their 18th and 19th century roots, learning about the English Landscape Movement, botany and conservation and the history of the house and its Palladian architecture.
