Chiswick Park and Ravenscourt fireworks displays cancelled

Fireworks displays across west London have been cancelled due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The organisers of the annual event at Chiswick Business Park, Enjoy Work, have decided not to go ahead with plans for the annual firework display this year. The free show is always very popular, with thousands of people turning up to see the spectacular displays. Enjoy Work told The Chiswick Calendar:

‘After careful consideration and in response to Covid-19, we have made the decision to cancel our 2020 Fireworks event at Chiswick Park.’We apologise for the disappointment this decision will cause. We hope to be able to bring back similar celebrations in 2021’.

LB Hammersmith & Fulham has also cancelled the annual display at Ravenscourt Park. Usually it’s a big event with thousands of people crowding into the park to watch the early evening display for children or the main event. There’s usually a fun fair and food stalls and it’s always a popular night.

Dukes Meadows Golf Club won’t be doing a fireworks display this year either. They didn’t hold one last year, but have done in previous years. This year they won’t be holding one due to Covid-19.
