Tricia Duffy wins Best Arts & Design Podcast 

Tricia Duffy, a Chiswick resident, has been recognised at the 2024 Women in Podcasting Awards, receiving the Best Arts & Design Podcast award for In Ten Years Time: How to Live a Creative Life.

Targeted towards audiences over 40, In Ten Years Time explores methods to achieve creative balance, combining long-term planning with incremental, daily actions.

In addition to the podcast, Duffy shares creativity tips and recommendations in a fortnightly newsletter and provides free tools for those looking to cultivate a more creative approach, including a Ten Year Plan template.

Originally from Portsmouth, Duffy’s career spans roles in entertainment and television, having worked on US cruise ships before moving into TV at companies such as IMG, Sky, and the BBC.

In 2012, she founded her own strategy consulting firm, Lily Grey, and has since launched her own music projects, writing and performing as part of Americana duo Duffy & Bird and later as a solo artist under the name Little Lore.

Duffy developed In Ten Years Time as a way to bridge her consulting work with her songwriting, drawing on personal experience to address challenges she found few external resources to navigate.

The upcoming third series, scheduled for release in January 2025, promises episodes covering topics such as ‘reframing rejection’ and ‘integrating research techniques into creative projects’.

Tricia said after receiving the award:

“The response to the first two series’ of In Ten Years Time has been overwhelming. It has been a privilege to support people in finding or amplifying their creative selves using the In Ten Years Time philosophy – the combination of long-term thinking with small daily steps.

“The third series builds on the previous episodes, with an overarching theme of Amplifying. Tackling topics including reframing rejection, sleep and napping as a creative act, using research techniques to underpin our creative projects and the benefits of combining multiple disciplines to help us amplify our art and creativity.

“I am honoured to be interviewing songwriter and genre queer artist Satch for the last episode.”
