Chiswick’s Jubilee weekend – Chiswick Flower Market

As part of Chiswick’s Jubilee weekend celebrations Chiswick Flower Market on Sunday created a street party on Chiswick High Rd. As well as all the usual plant and flower sellers, they introduced a free carousel for children and a Punch and Judy show.

The flower market elves sewed an extra 200 metres of red, white and blue bunting and visitors to the market were treated to live music from Brass Band United Social Club amongst others.

Tables loaned from Chiswick Horticultural Society and chairs from Chiswick School were laid out so people could picnic, either bringing their own food or succumbing to the inviting smell of the George IV’s barbecue wafting on the wind.

Anna Kunst was there to capture the mood and she also caught the Jubilee flypast from Chiswick Bridge. See her gallery of photographs below.
