Volunteer Chiswick: Cultivate London
Cultivate London is a charity running projects across West London. Its aim is to engage the community in growing more food locally. The charity trains unemployed young people in landscaping and horticulture and works with the local community to improve both the physical environment and social cohesion through the creation of food growing and/or biodiverse green space. Cultivate London aspires to have a positive influence on young people’s lives and to reform Londoners’ attitudes towards fresh produce and its origins.
Volunteers are welcomed at Cultivate London. Volunteers (of any age) are always needed on Wednesdays at the Salopian Garden in Isleworth from 9.00am – 4.00pm. Help is needed with seed sowing, potting, weeding and so on. There is no need to book, just turn up. Tea and biscuits are provided!
