
The programme’s theme is A Choral Cosmos. This year commemorates the 150th anniversary of the birth of Ralph Vaughan Williams.
The choir will be conducted by its Musical Director Rupert Gill. The accompanist and soloist (piano and organ) will be Ben Giddens, Associate Organist and Director of Music at St James’ Church, Sussex Gardens.
The programme includes his setting of Walt Whitman’s poem Toward the Unknown Region, together with Henry Purcell’s Come ye Sons of Art, and Welcome to All the Pleasures, alongside contemporary composers Morten Lauridsen’s O Nata Lux, and Ēriks Ešenvalds’ Stars.
In addition, the programme will also include several instrumental pieces.
