As part of the Open House Festival, from Saturday 12 – 19 September, a Ruskinian walk will start from RIBA award-winning Chiswick Business Park.

Ruskinian walk from RIBA award-winning Chiswick Business Park, Gunnersbury Triangle Nature Reserve through South Acton Estate, birthplace of artist Patrick Caulfield; Woodlands Park Ice House; to home of William Willett, initiator of Daylight Saving Time.

The Walk will cover history focused community trail across four centuries and a mixture of architectural styles: the walk takes its cue from John Ruskin’s holistic vision of citizens’ duty to posterity (‘… when we build, let us think that we build forever’). Additionally, covering topics such as the revolutionary invention of Council Housing and Habitat Stewardship for Sustainability in The South Acton neighbourhood.
