Ewan Millar – Oboe and Tomos Boyles – Piano
Ewan is one of the most prominent young oboists of his generation working in the UK. Ewan is a recipient of a Senior Award from the Hattori Foundation for the 23/24 season, and as such will be playing a recital at the prestigious 1901 Arts Club in November. Beyond oboe he is also a jazz pianist, gigging regularly in bars and restaurants around Oxford and London.
Tomos is developing a career as a pianist. He has recently been awarded the first prize at the Wales International Piano Festival in Caernarfon; this came with a generous scholarship to help fund future studies. Other top prizes include the Blue Ribband at the National Eisteddfod, and first place in the EPTA competition.
