Chiswick Book Festival 2021 – Fine Fiction at The Chiswick Cinema

On Saturday 11 September new venue The Chiswick Cinema will be hosting some of the best of fine fiction to come out this year:

11:30am: Susan Spindler – Surrogate
Documentary filmmaker Susan Spindler talks about her acclaimed first novel, Surrogate, examining sensitive issues of ageing, fertility and motherhood. Interviewed by Julia Langdon

1.30pm: Cathy Rentzenbrink – Everyone Is Still Alive
Cathy Rentzenbrink discusses her stunning first novel, Everyone Is Still Alive, a story of grief, working motherhood, envy, fear and status – and also friendship, community and figuring out what really matters.

3:30pm: Historical Fiction – Mary Chamberlain and Gill Paul
In The Forgotten, Mary Chamberlain writes about post-war Europe. In The Collector’s Daughter, Gill Paul goes back to 1922 and the discovery of the lost tomb of Tutankhamun.
