The London Transport Museum Depot in Acton is a working store, home to more than 370,000 fascinating objects. It is a space where their curators and volunteers look after the extensive collection of historic objects and vehicles. Normally closed to the public, Depot family tours offer an interactive and engaging behind-the-scenes experience of their fascinating transport collection.

Join one of the enthusiastic Learning Facilitators for a highlights tour of the bus and train sheds. Here, you’ll uncover fascinating stories and facts about the incredible vehicles in our Collection.

From the tons of poo that came with the first horse buses to the mystery of why trains have ‘bogies’, you’ll hear tales that bring transport history to life.

Tours are available on limited days during half terms and holidays only.
