To have somebody to hear you.
Listen, a very special art exhibition, will bring together a collection of works by a group of artists exploring the healing act of listening, made visual here in a powerful way. In seeing we can conjure sounds, melodies and memories derived from this act.
Abigail Lane, referred to as a YBA and an artist Tracey Emin said “could show the contents of her fridge and it would be fantastic” will be participating, as will the acclaimed Henry Hudson, Mathew Weir and Tim Noble.
Listen is an exhibition in support of The Listening Place.
Providing a glimpse into the secret histories witnessed by ancient trees, Thomas Lumley’s intricate charcoal works reveal the dryads’ whispering voices.
Nick Devereux, Nathalie Hollis, Jam Patel, Jacob Love, Hannah Grace Deller, selected by Grayson Perry for his Art Club and his Summer Exhibition, will all be showing works in a range of media. Artist Paula Guimaraes is joining the show and exhibiting in the UK for the first time following a series of successful international solo shows and will do a book signing on Tuesday 7 June to mark the opening of the exhibition.
This exhibition runs from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm.
