A celebration in music of the 150 years since St Paul’s Church was consecrated
‘Hear the People Sing’ features music with a connection to Chiswick or to St Paul’s church over the last 150 years. An adult choir of 50, a children’s choir of 40 from the Unicorn School in Kew, an orchestra of professional musicians and guest performers from the world of West End musical theatre will provide an eclectic and highly entertaining show.
Moving from classical to pop, music hall to musicals, the performance will be conducted by West End musical directors Michael Reed and Michael Dixon. From the Chiswick Empire to the Coronation, Zadok the Priest to the Artful Dodger, Help! to The Who this will be a stirring and emotional mix of music interwoven with snippets of Chiswick history.
The concert is suitable for all ages over 5 and the whole show, including an interval, will run for approximately 2 hours.
There will two separate performances: one starting at 3.30 pm and the the other at 6.30 pm.
