The Musical Museum is a museum of musical instruments which also hosts live concerts. From tiny music boxes to the Mighty Wurlitzer theatre organ, the Musical Museum tells the story of how people have captured and listened to music in Europe over the past four centuries.

The collection includes an impressive array of instruments and inventions, including reproducing pianos, orchestrions, self-playing violins, pipe organs, gramophones & synthesizers. Find out how music was recorded and reproduced, see and hear them in action.

Originally founded by the late Frank Holland, his private collection grew to the point where in 1963 he was given permission to keep it in the former St George’s Church, where it remained until 2008 when the purpose-built new museum was opened.

Normal Museum Opening Hours: Thursday to Sunday

Morning tickets:
10.30am – 12.30pm – Two hour visit with guided tour at 11.00 am.
Afternoon tickets:
1.30pm – 3.30pm – Two hour visit with guided tour at 2.00 pm.
