As part of Open House London Festival 2021, enjoy an exclusive visit to the Summer Parlour – which is not part of Chiswick House’s current visitor route. Please note that to access the Summer Parlour you will need to book a House ticket alongside this event.
Originally built as an addition to the old Jacobean house, the Summer Parlour was completely redesigned in 1735 by William Kent as a garden room for Lady Burlington. The room is probably the only interior designed in its entirety by Kent, with a ‘grotesque’ style ceiling a particular highlight.
Entry for 45 minutes, which will include a short talk by a member of the Visitor Experience team.
Free with House ticket (£8.50)
