Q&A with Mihir Bose – George IV

Journalist Peter Oborne interviews his friend an fellow journalist Mihir Bose about his memoir, Thank You Mr Crombie.

Mihir Bose, born in Kolkata shortly before Indian independence in 1947, still feels enormous gratitude towards Mr Crombie of the UK’s Home Office, who confirmed his permanent resident’s rights.

He went on to make a career as a journalist in Britain, working for several national newspapers. He become the BBC’s editor of sports news and has written many books.

In his latest book, his memoir, he remembers growing up in India, and charts the changes in British society since her arrived here in the 1960s, with a few modest mentions of some of his many sporting scoops along the way. The Q&A will be held in the Boston Room of George IV.
