Live music platform RCRDShop and The Afro Club 5 are hosting a Black History Month special of Kindred’s regular live music night, Kindred Rising.
Eight specially curated acts will take the stage and perform alongside a full band, including a horn section and gospel choir delivering reworks of records created by black icons celebrating the past, present and future. The result will be a one off concert ranging from soul and hip hop to dance and jazz, presented by some of the city’s finest talents. Including special performances by Sarah Ikumu and Broken Pen.
After the live show there will be a selection of DJ’s playing themed sets celebrating UK sounds, 50 years of Hip Hop and Afro Beats.
