You will discover the history and beauty of the Japanese stitching art Sashiko — a traditional craft that celebrates creativity, mindfulness, and care for what we have.
Every workshop is about slowing down, enjoying the process, and learning how small stitches can make a big difference.
All tools and materials for the 2-hour workshop will be provided, and you’ll learn how to:
Safely thread and use a Sashiko needle.
Learn and practice sashiko stitching, and create a project of your choice to display, gift, mend, or embellish.
Create one-of-a-kind pieces filled with your own creativity.
You’re welcome to bring an item that needs a repair for review and advice.
