Join author and mudlark Jason Sandy as he takes us through our history from pre-historic times to modern day, all from the banks of the river Thames in west London.
As an introduction to the Mudlarks and the Thames exhibition, mudlark Jason Sandy discusses some of the extraordinary finds from west London riverbanks.
These range from Iron Age weapons to the Thames Victoria Cross and the Doves Press typeface created with Emery Walker and hurled into the Thames from Hammersmith Bridge by disgruntled partner T.J. Cobden-Sanderson.
Quirky, fun and very interesting, Jason’s talk is a window onto west London’s history from the ground up and a great introduction to the exhibition and programme of activities taking place at and around Chiswick Pier Trust on the 25 and 26th September.
