West London Chorus’s next concert will be on Saturday 2 April at St Paul’s Church Grove Park.
It will be an anthology of 20th Century British Choral Song including works by Elgar, Bainton, Harris and Howells.
They will then be taking much of this repertoire on tour to two concerts in Bruges and Ghent on the 7th and 8th April and then singing at the last post ceremony at the Menin Gate, Ypres on the 8th. This tour was postponed twice during the pandemic and so they are delighted that it can finally go ahead.
They will be performing:
Give Unto the Lord – Elgar
Like as the Hart – Howells
Holy is the True Light – Harris
If There are Angels – McDowall
And I Saw a New Heaven -Bainton
The Song that the River Sang – Williams
maggie and milly and molly and may – McGregor
The Shower – Elgar
The Rio Grande – Jackson
