World Naked Bike Ride London

August 14 @ 1:00 pm BST

After 26 months, WNBR London finally rides again on Saturday 14 August 2021 for the London leg of the World Naked Bike Ride. Supporters have been clamouring for the ride to go ahead and, with the removal of the 30-person restriction, the ride is back on!

Despite the Government’s removal of measures, the ride will have many adjustments to reduce the risks from Covid-19. In particular, they are shortening the stationary gatherings and have cancelled the afterparty.

Its objectives are to:

  •  protest against the global dependency on oil
  •  curb car culture
  •  obtain real rights for cyclists
  •  demonstrate the vulnerability of cyclists on city streets
  •  celebrate body freedom

Those in the Chiswick area can meet at the North end of Kew Bridge (nearest postcode W4 3NQ) from 13:15, riding off at 13:30. This ride will join up with the Clapham Junction ride before heading into Central London. It is quite a long and relatively fast ride.

The Kew Bridge start tends to attract enthusiastic cyclists as it moves through leafy West London at a brisk (but not breakneck) pace, crossing the meandering Thames several times before merging with riders from the Clapham Junction start.
The ride starts from the southbound roadside at the north end of the bridge. There is no segregated space for body painting, so consider painting yourself at home.
Participation is free and there is no need to register, but riders are highly encourage to donate. The ride is made possible by volunteer helpers and generous donations from our participants.
