Overnight closure of level crossing

LB Hounslow has issued a notice warning of a temporary road closure on Grove Park Terrace later this month for work to be carried out on the level crossing.

A traffic order will prohibit vehicles from driving the length of Grove Park Terrace between the north-eastern boundary of No. 60 and the south-western boundary of No. 64 – ie. it will prevent vehicles crossing the railway line.

The order is set to come into operation at 11.59pm on Friday 20 January 2023, with works expected to be complete by 11.00am on Saturday 21 January. The traffic order itself will remain in force until 31 December 2023, to allow for unexpected delays and possible remedial works (which is standard procedure).

Traffic will be diverted via Fauconberg Road, Sutton Court Road, Grove Park Bridge, Grove Park Road, Hartington Road, Grove Park Road and the same in reverse. As far as is ‘reasonably practicable’, vehicular access is to be maintained for local residents.

Further works to replace level crossing controls and equipment are expected to take place between 2.00am and 11.00pm from 22 April 2023 to 1 May 2023.
