St Patrick’s Day, Wednesday 17 March – Irish stew is a must

Harriet Benton launched Harriet’s kitchen during lockdown in March 2020 as a way of helping neighbours in Bedford Park. With more than forty years in the catering business, she has a well tried repertoire of delicious dishes, which her team will deliver to your door, with no charge in Chiswick, and with a 10% discount for Chiswick Calendar Club Card members.

This week it’s St Patrick’s Day on Wednesday 17 March, so of course there’s an Irish stew in the mix.

Harriet and Alan will be taking a break for Easter. Their last March menu will be Friday 25 March for delivery the day before Good Friday. Next menu will be out on 9 April for delivery on 16 April.

Green Soup with soda bread £5.50

Aptly named for St. Patrick’s Day & a favourite ‘must have’ by one of my regular clients at every meal! Broccoli, spinach, so many herbs, leeks & shallot with a feta or goats cheese crumb

Four x portions of Jerusalem artichoke soup to first bidders

Cheese, onion & maybe potato pie £7.00

Just over the water to Lancashire & this wonderful pie, melting onions & creamy cheese. Served in big wedges.

With salad £10.00

The ultimate Irish Stew £11.50

A complete meal on a plate, the culinary equivalent of a big woolly scarf! I can add nothing to this description! Perhaps only bettered with a glass of Guinness.

Thai Green Chicken Curry with Jasmine rice & coriander £12.00

Fragrant lemon grass, galangal, coriander & chili in a coconut sauce, with pea aubergine, & green vegetables

Paneer vegetarian £10.50

Roast salmon or fillet steak, noodle salad, mint & basil £12.50

Fillet of salmon fast roasted in Ponzu & miso. We can’t make enough of this dish!

Or Fillet steak £17.00

Breast of Guinea fowl, shallot & mustard sauce & tagliatelle £12.00

A stronger taste than chicken but not at all gamey, silky mustard sauce & buttered tagliatelle & peas.GF pasta available

Poached pear & apple compote, Irish cream & shortbread £5.50

Chocolate pudding brownies w/ fresh orange & cream £5.50
