Harriet Benton launched Harriet’s kitchen during lockdown in March 2020 as a way of helping neighbours in Bedford Park. With more than forty years in the catering business, she has a well tried repertoire of delicious dishes, which her team will deliver to your door, with no charge in Chiswick, and with a 10% discount for Chiswick Calendar Club Card members.

French Onion Soup with gruyere toasts £5.20

A comforting bowl of slow cooked caramelised pink onions with beef broth, a touch of brandy & topped with gruyere toasts. (GF by request)

Thai red curry noodle soup L £10.00, S £5.00

Packed with the flavours of Thai basil, lime & ginger, cosy & fragrant. Add chicken or prawns for a welcome supper dish

Slow braised three-day lamb shank, gremolata & mash £12.60

Slow gentle cooking enhanced further by the citrus gremolata

Gammon with braised vegetables & parsley sauce £12.00

The gammon is gently braised in stock whilst the vegetables: savoy cabbage, leeks, carrots & celery are poached with morteau sausage & then all brought together with a parsley sauce

Roast chicken legs with sumac, za’atar & lemon, pita £11.10

Sumac, a crushed berry is sharp & acidic & Za’atar a blend of thyme, sesame & salt, addictive when mixed together with lemon. Served with yogurt, pita & a simple eastern salad

Steak, ale & mushroom pie with mash £12.50

Another classic dish for cold weather. We make ours with our own shortcrust pastry. If you’d like kidney just say the word!

Hyderabadi Biryani, raita & naan £11.50

Said to be the most famous Biryani & the crown dish of the Hyderabadi Muslims. Rice & spices, so many spices! Chicken, Fish, vegetable

Ras el Hanout slow roasted Mushrooms & green cous cous  £9.50

Portabella mushrooms slow roasted with pine nuts, lemon & halloumi cheese with green herbed cous cous

Sticky toffee pudding £5.00

Complete with sticky toffee sauce & cream
