Healthy Bite food stall keeps its licence to trade on Chiswick High Road
Healthy Bite stall, Chiswick High Road
Healthy Bite will carry on serving wraps and juices on Chiswick High Road after Hounslow’s Licensing Panel renewed its street trading licence for another six months
The panel met on 8 July and published its decision on Monday (13 July), granting the licence in full: trading from 10am to 4pm daily, with existing conditions on packaging, police cooperation and propane storage reimposed.
The renewal had been complicated by Hounslow’s planning department, which briefly objected before reversing its position on 26 June and deciding the stall didn’t need separate planning approval.

Two objections remained, over lunchtime competition, pavement space and gas safety. Ward councillor Joanna Biddolph spoke for one objector, arguing the stall’s weekday trading was unfair on rate paying shops and should be limited to weekends.
The panel disagreed, noting Healthy Bite has traded from the same pitch since 2019 and that policy doesn’t require the council to shield businesses from competition. It also found the pavement wide enough and waste properly managed under a Lampton Services contract.
