How to create a Flower Market

Talk about a steep learning curve. This is one you could ski off!

Having received enthusiastic support at our first public meeting and on social media for the idea of a flower market in Chiswick, the consortium of residents and businesses behind the idea, which includes The Chiswick Calendar, is pressing ahead with the next steps.

We’ve completed our business plan, which you can see on the Chiswick Flower Market website:

We are in the process of setting up a Community Interest Company to run it and have started talking to traders about the practicalities.

We are meeting the senior officials from Hounslow Council who have been asked by council leader Steve Curran to set up a Flower Market project team, this week.

We’ll be sending out a survey to canvass views more widely, and we’ll be holding another public meeting to report back on progress on Tuesday 31 March at 7.30pm at George IV.
