“I’ll be back” says Damian
Where’s Damian?
Consternation is building about the whereabouts of Damian Wojnarowski, the maker of excellent coffee at Chiswick Rail Station. Not only is he not there but his van has gone.
Speculation is rife. Has he done a moonlight flit, tired of the early mornings?
Concerned about his welfare. or about the lack of decent coffee to get us through the morning commute, either way, we thought it our duty to find out where he and his van have gone.
“That’s very sweet of you”, he said, but not to worry, “I’ll be back”.
Unlike Arnold Schwarzenegger in The Terminator, it’s a promise rather than a threat. He’s not planning to drive a car into the station and massacre the staff. (Mind you, he’d have trouble finding any).
He’s sold his van and bought a new, and better, one. It was supposed to be delivered this week but wasn’t, and needs modification. He has been promised he will have it for next Monday (24 August) and plans to have his coffee making accoutrements in order ready to recommence service on Tuesday.
That’s alright then. We really were concerned about your welfare. Honest.
