Jon Perry, one of The Chiswick Calendar’s contributing photographers
Jon has been photographing Chiswick for more than 30 years, coming to photography from a background of painting and drawing. He particularly likes to capture mist and fog, for the serenity of the image it creates. With photography generally he likes the way the medium allows an artist to play with and sometimes blur the boundaries between a figurative image and an abstract one.
Jon takes part in The Chiswick Calendar’s regular picture exhibitions, Chiswick In Pictures and Chiswick Through the Camera Lens, at the Clayton Hotel Chiswick.
In November 2016 Jon’s picture of a fox in Chiswick High Rd was selected for the British Wildlife Photography Awards exhibition.
For many years Jon paired up with another local photographer Ian Wylie, who has since moved away from the area, to produce a paper calendar of Chiswick to raise money for charity.
