National Theatre announces final set of online productions

The National Theatre has announced a new set of online productions as part of the ‘National Theatre at Home’ initiative.

The productions are: A Midsummer Night’s DreamSmall IslandLes BlancsThe Deep Blue Sea, and Amadeus.

Starting this Thursday at 7PM, a new play will be made available to stream every week, with the first of the five being Small Island.

The theatrical adaptation of Andrea Leavy’s Novel, Small Island traces the tangled history of Jamaica and the UK throughout the Second World War until 1948 – the year HMT Empire Windrush docked and received glowing reviews by critics, with The Guardian calling it “momentous theatre”.
