Louise Richards
Louise paints large scale colourful works on paper using emulsions, drawing on a wide range of inspiration from retro floral textiles to vintage posters.
“My love for colour started from my Grandma’s plastic multicoloured curtains, that concealed a small space under the stairs, holding all the dried food and treats. The bright labels and iconic logos gave me a sense of satisfaction. I want my paintings to bring a sense of joy and the comfort of nostalgia.”

Our 13th art & photography exhibition
This is The Chiswick Calendar’s 13th exhibition of art and photography at the hotel. Our first was in September 2017. Initially ‘Chiswick in Pictures’, the theme has broadened to include any subject by an artist who lives locally – abstract paintings and figurative work, landscapes and portraits, in oils, watercolours, photography and stained glass.

The exhibition is open from Monday 30 September until Saturday 30 November 2024, and as the hotel is open all the time, you can pop in at any time to view the work, in the atrium by reception at 626 Chiswick High Rd., W4 5RY.
