Murdered woman named as Samantha Turner

A man has been charged with murder following the death of a 52-year-old woman in Askew Road on Tuesday morning.

Officers were called at 08.19 on Tuesday 18 August, to an address on Askew Road following reports of a stabbing. A 52 year old woman was pronounced dead at the scene despite the best efforts of emergency services.

She has now been named by police as Samantha Turner.

A second woman, aged 32, suffered non-life threatening stab injuries. She remains in hospital and continues to be assessed.

The police closed a section of Askew Road, which is on the border of Chiswick and Shepherd’s Bush, on Tuesday and kept it closed all day while they began their investigation. A man was arrested at the scene.

Alan Dore, 48, of Askew Crescent, Shepherds Bush, was charged on Wednesday 19 August with murder and attempted murder.

He will appear at Hendon Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 20 August.
