Chiswick Rail Station pedestrian footbridge closed for repair last summer

Network Rail thanks the Chiswick community ‘for their patience’

Network Rail has confirmed a date for Chiswick Staition’s footbridge to be put back in place.

The footbridge was closed to be repaired at the beginning of August last year. As Network Rail realised it was more dilapidated than they anticipated, it was removed from the station to be mended off site. It is now due to be replaced and they say it will reopen, as they promised, before the end of February.

Footbridge due to be put back in place weekend of 7-8 February

A Network Rail spokesperson said:

“We will be installing the footbridge at Chiswick station over the weekend of 7-8 February. Once this has been installed, engineers will be working to reinstate and test all lighting before being reopening to the public before the end of February.

“We would like to thank the Chiswick community for their patience while we have been carrying out these essential repairs.”
