New Spring classes at Chiswick Art School 2021

Chiswick Art School is looking forward to opening its doors again, with a range of classes, including classes for children, both on site and online. New classes for this term include some one day courses, in printmaking, watercolours and digital creativity.

New: One day courses

Printmaking: Saturday 15 May and Saturday 19 June

Watercolours: Saturday 29 May and Saturday 26 June

Digital Creativity: Saturday 12 June

Courses starting soon in Photography, Oil Painting, Watercolours, Drawing, Portraiture, Digital Creativity and Film making …

Making a welcome comeback, Chiswick Art School is now able to offer their Introduction to Photography course again, and coursesin Digital Creativity and Photoshop/Lightroom.

Having learned to adapt to the uncertaintly of the pandemic, the Friday courses on Introduction to Photography with Sophie Griffin, Digital Creativity and Photoshop/Lightroom will all now be available as six week courses as well as the full twelve weeks. The first six weeks run from 23 April to 28 May inclusive and the second six weeks run from 11 June to 16 July inclusive.

The Introduction to Oil Painting course with Peter Burgess will now run on Wednesday afternoons. Described as ‘a belt and braces approach to this powerful medium’, it is also suitable for refreshers. ‘Plein Air Painting’ sessions are also available as single tasters.

Weekly classes also include Watercolour painting, Making a Movie with your phone and children’s classes for two different age groups. Portraiture – weekly sessions exploring all aspects of portraiture including head and shoulders and full length. Drawing – the basis of all figurative art.

Children’s art classes

The art school will be running art lessons for children in the classroom on Thursdays from 22 April 2021. There are separate sessions for different age groups as follows:

6-10 year olds: 4.15-5.30pm

11-14 year olds: 5.45-7pm

Unsure as to how things might go? These classes can be tried out as an initial taster. For the taster session, all materials are included.

Starting in September …

Printmaking. Regular printmaking starts again in September.
