UK tour stopping in Chiswick for one day only

Posting Letters to the Moon will be at Chiswick’s ‘Theatre at the Tabard’ next Sunday 16 October at 3.00pm.

The reading of the war time letters between the actress Celia Johnson (Brief Encounter) and her husband the journalist Peter Fleming, are now performed all around the UK by their daughter Lucy Fleming and her husband Simon Williams.

Receiving widespread acclaim on its UK tour and in New York, critics hail its touching and witty accounts of war time life.

The letters are historically fascinating as they document what life was like during the Second World War and they mention Noel Coward (who wrote the short story that gave birth to Brief Encounter) and director David Lean.

Lucy Fleming said their audiences, while touring the U.K and in New York run, had ‘revelled in the authenticity, and the intangible charm of her parents WW2 letters’.
