Pub in the Park – 3-5 September

Pub in the Park is taking place again this year in the grounds of Chiswick House.

A glorious mixture of good food and live music, you can experience the culinary delights created by chefs such as Marcus Wareing, Michel Roux Jr, Chantelle Nicholson, Atul Kochhar and Andrew Pern from the various pub / restaurant tents. Music-wise, Kaiser Chiefs, Basement Jaxx, Brand New Heavies, The Feeling, Marc Almond, Reef, The Cuban Brothers and Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel are performing across the three days.

All’s Well brings hyper-seasonal, sustainable cooking from chef Chantelle Nicholson & team. Born from a want to preserve jobs and create some positive way to move forward during 2020. Celebrating British produce, organic wines and zero-waste cooking, with a relaxed & welcoming service.

Born in Jamshedpur, North East India, Atul Kochhar started his career with The Oberoi Group working in Dehli. In 1994 he was at the forefront of Indian fine-dining cuisine in the UK, opening the Tamarind restaurant in 1994 and achieving a Michelin Star in 2001, making him one of the first Indian chefs to receive the accolade.

Atul Kochhar’s contemporary style and love of traditional cooking techniques led him to open his own restaurant ‘Benares,’ Berkeley Square in 2003 which won a Michelin Star in 2007. Since then he has opened numerous successful, award-winning restaurants. His latest, Hawkyns at The Crown, Amersham, is his first British restaurant championing the finest elements of modern British Cuisine with a contemporary flair.

Ollie Pudney is the co-owner and Executive Chef of the Bull & Last in Highgate. In collaboration with business partner joe Swiers they are warmly regarded as one of the best food pubs in the capital. After ten successful years of trading and numerous awards behind them the Bull & Last has returned to its former glory as a Coaching Inn with the addition of 7 bed and breakfast rooms – opened in June 2021.

Kerridge’s Bar & Grill is the first London restaurant by Tom Kerridge and the Hand & Flowers team.

‘From Marlow we’ve brought much of our team, produce and inspiration for new dishes, and a relaxed and unstuffy eye for hospitality. All these have found a new home in the extraordinary surroundings of Corinthia Hotel London, a legendary venue for the next chapter in our story’.

Jason Atherton and Head Chef Frankie van Loo bring you Little Social, a contemporary, neighbourhood all-day dining bistro and wine bar, in the heart of Mayfair, directly across from their flagship restaurant  Pollen Street Social.

Jason and Frankie have carefully curated stunning dishes using the very finest seasonal and local ingredients and British produce. The wine list created by The Social Company’s Executive Sommelier Laure Patry, encompasses a French selection with a focus on all of the famous regions and names in old-world winemaking.

At Cue Point, head Chef Joshua Moroneys’ extensive experience in the world of smoked barbecue has enabled him to explore diverse cooking techniques, flavours and methods. ‘taking British Barbecue to new heights and fusing it with an array of inspirations and experiences, in the process of developing an entirely unique cooking style’. Having worked with the likes of Brad Mcdonald, David Carter from Smokestack. Josh has fully explored the London BBQ range before taking his unique spin on it.

Rick Stein, CBE is an English celebrity chef, restaurateur, and television presenter. Along with business partner Jill Stein, he has run the Stein hotel and restaurant business in the UK.

‘We’ve never thought of our restaurants as temples of gastronomy, they’re just places where the fish is fresh and exhilarating and the atmosphere alive and full of fun’.

Famous for his restaurants in Cornwall – in Padstow, St Merryn and Newquay, they also have restaurants in Winchester, Sandbanks, Marlborough and Barnes.

The Star Inn is situated in a picturesque village on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors, a couple of miles outside the market town of Helmsley. This much loved, Michelin-starred Inn has origins believed to date back to the 14th Century. Once described as ‘absurdly pretty’, the thatched pub with its low beams and wonky walls (which mean the pictures won’t hang straight!) has centuries of hospitality steeped into its very timbers.

Chef/Director, Andrew Pern, regards himself as just a chapter in The Star’s long history, despite being the owner of the pub since 1996, when it was acquired in a near derelict state. Since that time it has not only been restored, whilst maintaining and enhancing its abundant character, but it has picked up a long list of prestigious awards and expanded to incorporate a hotel just across the road.

The Star has held a Michelin Star for 16 years. 2021 marks the 25th year of Andrew’s tenure.
