Remembrance Sunday

The Second World War will be at the forefront of  people’s minds next weekend, as Sunday 10 November is Remembrance Sunday. Regular church goers will know what your church has planned, but if you’re an irregular and regard this as a special occasion, here are two of the bigger services:

St Michael & All Angels Church has a Choral Requiem Mass starting at 9.45am, followed by the procession to the Bedford Park War Memorial Seat for the two-minute silence at 11am.

The Royal British Legion parade service will be at Christ Church on Turnham Green. The march will begin at the Memorial Club around 10:30am and arrive at the War Memorial on Turnham Green at 10:45, where it will be joined by members of Our Lady of Grace RC Church, Christ Church W4 and many others, for an outdoor ecumenical service lasting from 10:45-11:15am led by Christ Church vicar Richard Moy.

The procession will then head back to the Memorial Club for 11:30am, with a marching band, uniform groups and wreaths laid on behalf of the MP, Mayor and many others besides.
