New cafe will open on the site of the former Cafe Plum

Sam Harrison, the owner of Sam’s Riverside brasserie and deli Sam’s Larder, is expanding his business empire by opening a new cafe.

Sam’s Kitchen will open later this month on the site of the former Cafe Plum in Crisp Road, Hammersmith. The new cafe will serve breakfast, brunch, and lunch, and aims to become “the best cafe in West London.”

Sam is now actively searching ‘exceptional hospitality staff’ to ensure the success of the new venture. Recruitment day is scheduled for 12 April, and passionate chefs, waiters, and baristas are invited to drop by Sam’s Riverside between 10.00am and 5.00pm or visit the website to find out more about the opportunity.

Sam’s Kitchen is the culmination of Sam’s long-term goal to create “the perfect little local corner café.” He hopes that the cafe will become a popular destination for locals looking for a cozy and welcoming environment to enjoy a delicious meal or a cup of coffee.

The cafe’s menu will feature a range of breakfast, brunch, and lunch options, including a full English breakfast, hash and eggs, chilli-poached eggs, and beetroot-topped toast. Breakfast buns will also be available all day, with options such as bacon chops, crispy eggs, and sweet onion marmalade.

Sam made his reputation with Sam’s Brasserie in Barley Mow Passage in Chiswick. He opened up the Riverside brasserie in Hammersmith as part of the Riverside Studios complex in 2019, with the small grocery adjacent and followed up with Sam’s Larder in Turnham Green Terrace in Chiswick last year.

His attention to detail is evident in the carefully crafted menu, and he is confident that it will satisfy a wide range of tastes and preferences.

Sam’s empire is expanding across West London. He recently sought to reassure customers that the Riverside Studios’ financial woes will not affect the restaurant, and has plans to open a second Waterside restaurant in Brentford.
