Sam Harrison to open a restaurant in Brentford

Sam Harrison, the proprietor of Sam’s Riverside restaurant in Hammersmith, is opening a new restaurant in Brentford.

The restaurateur, who also has Sam’s Larder in Turnham Green Terrace, has taken two units in the Brentford Project. A new branch of Sam’s Larder is already open on the site, in collaboration with the concierge at the first phase of the opening of the new housing project.

“We’ll be there offering people coffee and pastries as they pick up their keys and move in” Sam Harrison told The Chiswick Calendar.”

The Brentford Project is opening in three phases. The new restaurant, ‘Sam’s Waterside’ will open in October. When it is finished there will be over 800 homes alongside the River Brent and the  canalside with new shops and restaurants.

“Like our restaurant in Hammersmith we will be by the waterside. A new dock has been created and we have the canal on one side” said Sam.

Phase one is the furthest west of the Brentford Project developments. The Tex Mex restauran Di Grande which first opened in Chiswick, will also have a presence there.

“I think what’s happening in Brentford is so exciting” Sam told us. “There’s an edginess and a creativity about Brentford which I really like. I think people in Brentford have been crying out for a restaurant like ours.”

Sam is partnering with the Kitchen Garden at Chiswick House to provide the new restaurant with herbs and vegetables.

“Rosie Fyles and her volunteers have done incredible things with that garden. They are growing some really unusual herbs that you can’t get anywhere else.”
