Three people taken to hospital after rush hour crash

Three people were taken to hospital on Monday (22 September) after a serious traffic accident on Chiswick High Road.

London Ambulance Service paramedics treated a 60-year-old woman and two men aged 56 and 65 at the scene after they were called to a collision involving two vehicles.

They appear to have had a very lucky escape, as Police say their injuries were not life-threatening or life-changing despite one of the vehicles, a green Peugot, being completely wrecked.

Emergency services had to take the top of the car off to rescue the male driver. A female passenger was able to get out of the car with help from passers by.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said:

“We were called at 6.24am today to reports of a road traffic collision in Chiswick High Road, W4.

“We sent resources including ambulance crews, an advanced paramedic, an incident response officer and members of our Hazardous Area Response Team (HART).

“We treated two men and a woman at the scene and took them to hospital.”

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said:

“Officers were called at around 06:40hrs on Monday, 22 September to reports of a road traffic collision on Chiswick High Road in Chiswick involving two vehicles.

“Paramedics attended and treated three people at the scene – two men aged 56 and 65, and a 60-year-old woman, before taking them to hospital for further treatment. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life changing.

“The road was shut for around three hours but has since re-opened.”
