Severe weather warning

The second lot of snow in a couple of weeks. It’s not often that snow settles in London but according to the BBC’s Met Office Weather Warnings we are expecting more snow today (Monday 8 February) and on Tuesday.

‘Amber warning of snow, started at: 04.00 GMT on Sun 7 February

‘Heavy snow is likely to bring widespread travel disruption – Long delays and cancellations on bus, rail and air travel probably occurring – There is a good chance that roads may become blocked by deep snow, with many stranded vehicles and passengers likely – Long interruptions to power supplies and other services, such as gas, water, telephone and mobile phone coverage likely’.

The forecast for Tuesday is ‘light snow showers and a moderate breeze’ with temperatures ranging from -4 degrees to +2 degrees the rest of the week.
