Chiswick Book Festival

Features and Reviews

The Chiswick Book Festival is like a Smörgåsbord of interesting people and topics. You may not have heard the author’s name before the festival, or known anything about the subject they’re speaking about, but you come across talks such as Fiona Davison’s on The Hidden Horticulturalists, the working class men who trained to be gardeners in the Horticultural Society’s Garden in Chiswick in Victorian times, developing exotic plants brought back from all over the Empire; or graphologist Emma Bache talking about her book Reading Between the Lines: What your handwriting says about you, and new vistas open up.
