The Roebuck closes for refurbishment weeks after the pub was acquired by London pub group Urban Pubs & Bars

The Roebuck, one of Chiswick’s most established, was taken over by Urban Pubs & Bars in January as part of a five-venue deal that also included The Steam Packet on Strand-on-the-Green. It has now closed temporarily while work is carried out, with a mid-March reopening expected.

The pub’s website says it is “closed for refurbishment” and promises a “brand new pub and kitchen for Chiswick” when it reopens, though no further details of what the work involves have been given. The Chiswick Calendar has contacted Urban Pubs & Bars for further details.
