Three men from Chiswick charged in connection with Blue Stevens’ murder released on bail

Nicholas McCoy, Mozahedul Alam and Shafwan Meah among group charged with perverting the course of justice to enable Blue Stevens’ alleged murderer to escape

Three men from Chiswick were among a group of six men who appeared at the Old Bailey last Friday charged with perverting the course of justice to help the chief suspect in the murder of Blue Stevens evade capture.

Stevens was 24 years old when he was fatally knifed in front of his partner outside a hotel in Knightsbridge last July.

The six defendants are accused of helping his alleged killer flee the country. Youssef Razak, 25, is wanted for his murder, which police believe was a ‘targeted’ attack.

They are Nicholas McCoy, 22, Mozahedul Alam, 26, and Shafwan Meah, 20, from Chiswick, Jayden Clement-Bryan, 24, of Feltham, Adan Hindawi, 25, of Kensington and Ali Hindawi, 24, of Southall.

The three from Chiswick, Jayden Clement-Bryan and Adan Hindawi all pleaded not guilty to committing acts with intent to pervert the course of justice, while Ali Hindawi did not enter a plea when they appeared in court on Friday 17 April.

Nicholas McCoy has also been charged with helping burn a car allegedly used in the murder, as were Jayden Clement-Bryan and brothers Ali and Adan Hindawi.

Mozahedul Alam and his brother Shafwan Meah are also accused of helping book a ferry for Razak to leave the country, while Ali Hindawi is accused of giving Razak his passport so he could travel.

The defendants were granted conditional bail provided they live at their home addresses and do not attempt to leave the UK. They are scheduled to return to the Old Bailey for trial on 9 November.
