Director of the Chiswick Book Festival Torin Douglas interviews sports broadcaster and children’s author Clare Balding on Tuesday 16th March 8.00pm-9.15pm.

The online talk is the first in a series of talks to raise money for the Upper Room, a charity which supports homeless people in west London.

Clare Balding is arguably television’s most versatile presenter, covering everything from Wimbledon to the Olympics, and State events to Crufts. She hosts the popular Radio 4 show Ramblings and is a best-selling author of books for children and adults.

A prolific author, Clare has another book due out in April 2021 which deals with the issues of resilience and self-belief. Drawing both from her own experiences of overcoming adversity and those of famous and inspirational figures, Fall Off, Get Back On, Keep Going offers ‘10 ways to be at the top of your game!’

The winner of the BAFTA Special Award and RTS Presenter of the Year Award will be in conversation with Torin Douglas, the former BBC Media Correspondent.

Tickets £10, available here: theupperroom.org.uk
