Never try and go anywhere on public transport – especially at the weekends – without checking first!
Transport for London issues a schedule of forthcoming track work so the public can find out about planned engineering work on the Tube lines and overground lines. As they always tend to do their engineering work at the weekend if they can, it’s always worth checking if you’re trying to go somewhere on the weekend.

Here are the track closures planned for the rest of April.
Tuesday 7 until Sunday 12 April
District Line
District LineSaturday 11 and Sunday 12 April – Edgware Road/Embankment to Ealing Broadway, Kensington (Olympia), Richmond and Wimbledon
Piccadilly Line
Piccadilly LineFriday 10 and Saturday 11 April – Hyde Park Corner to Acton Town during Friday Night Tube and until 07:00 on Saturday
Elizabeth Line
Elizabeth LineTuesday 7 and Wednesday 8 April – Reduced service between Paddington and Maidenhead and at Heathrow Terminal 4 after 22:00, Trains will not stop at Acton Main Line, Hanwell and West Ealing after 22:30
Sunday 12 April – Paddington to Ealing Broadway until 07:45, Reduced service between Paddington and Maidenhead and at Heathrow Terminal 4
Monday 13 until Sunday 19 April
District Line
Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 April – Earl’s Court to Ealing Broadway and Richmond
Piccadilly Line
Friday 17 and Saturday 18 April – No service on the entire line during Friday Night Tube
Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 April – Hyde Park Corner to Acton Town including during Saturday Night Tube
Elizabeth Line
Sunday 19 April – Paddington to Ealing Broadway until 07:45, Trains will not stop at Acton Main Line, Hanwell and West Ealing, Reduced service between Paddington and Maidenhead and at Heathrow Terminal 4.
Mildmay Line
Mildmay LineSunday 19 April -Willesden Junction to Richmond
